How Hydrating Serum was developed
Hydrating serum, essentially a sodium hyaluronate serum, is the only moisturiser that Jasmine, our founder, could use. She spent years trying many moisturisers but none were suitable until she met an aesthetic doctor who introduced Sodium Hyaluronate serum to her. Before founding Skinlycious, for close to 9 years, Jasmine was buying a similar hydrating serum from her doctor at 3x the current price we are retailing.

We further improved the formula by adding PCA and amino acids to mimic our skin’s natural moisturising factor(NMF). When we have skin problems, like acne, eczema, psoriasis, our NMF are of lower levels. As we age, natural production of NMF also diminishes. By adding in NMF and hydration, your skin stays hydrated and skin barrier function is strengthened.

✓ Hydrates without clogging pores
✓ Regulates sebum production
✓ Reduces fine lines
✓ Prevents visible signs of aging
✓ Firms skin

Like the texture and it doesn’t causes skin to feel oily at all. My fav item of all, overall didn’t really solve my skin issues as still will have breakouts. Furthermore since tis pandemic we need to wear mask most of time esp at work so make skin issue worse. But overall tis is a d item.

It is necessary to hydrate your skin to lessen the friction while you are wearing mask. Also note that we need to change our mask frequently because it’s a trapping moisture, a perfect opportunity for the bacteria to grow and can also cause clogged pores. Don’t forget to use a good cleanser and exfoliate at night to remove dead skin cells. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Sodium Hyaluronate (SH) : :
Sodium Hyaluronate, a smaller molecular size than hyaluronic acid (making it especially penetrative), is found naturally in the body and is a critical component of skin that helps retain moisture, keeps the skin firm, aids in tissue repair, and helps create a protective barrier against microbes. In the presence of SH, collagen and retinoic acid production is also increased. SH holds moisture very well; holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Not only does SH delivers water to the skin, SH also has the ability to hold it there. As we age, natural production of SH diminishes and our skin is no longer as supple and youthful-looking. Replacing SH is an effective way to make the skin look younger, making it a popular injectable wrinkle filler with dermatologists.
✓ Amino Acids & PCA
Amino Acids are naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of the “natural moisturizing factors” (NMF) that maintain a healthy epidermis. Amino Acids helps to maintain skin’s hydration, resilience, texture, and an overall healthy, supple appearance. When we have skin problems, like acne, eczema, psoriasis, our NMF are of lower levels. As we age, natural production of NMF also diminishes. By adding in NMF and hydration, your skin stays hydrated and skin barrier function is strengthened.
