Is your sunscreen waterproof? No sunscreens are completely waterproof. Most of the sunscreens in the market claim water-resistance. Our sunscreen is not tested for water-resistance yet, hence we cannot claim that.
Do I need to wash if I used sunscreen? When you use our sunscreen, you need to cleanse with a makeup remover equivalent cleanser preferably the Soothing Cleansing Gel.
Why is your sunscreen expensive? In general, quality sunscreens can be pricey. Our sunscreen has premium ingredients that don’t cause breakouts, hence it’s more expensive. We make in small batches, hence the higher costs.
Is your sunscreen reef safe? Our sunscreens are reef safe. Though it has zinc oxide and titanuim dioxide. However, they are not nanoparticles. We also don’t have any reef harming chemicals in our sunscreen such as Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, micro-beads.
Please note that our sunscreen is not tested for water-resistance or waterproofing yet, hence we cannot claim that.

Can I use sunscreen when I first start trying Skinlycious?Sunscreens are notorious for clogging pores, especially mineral sunscreens. But chemical sunscreens do not have enough safety data, hence minerals sunscreens are better. When you first start trying Skinlycious to clear your acne, we don’t recommend you use any sunscreen for the first 5 day. Wearing a hat and avoiding the sun will be better. Just try the 3 products for 5 days.
When you see improvements and know our products are working for you, you can add on your sunscreen. But if it turns for the worse when you add your sunscreen again, you know it’s the sunscreen causing problem.
We highly recommend Skinlycious Multi Protection Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 as it has been tested on and doesn’t break out acne-prone skin. Our founder, Jasmine, tested so many variations breaking out so many times before finding this golden ratio of minerals that doesn’t break her out.Why is there different SPF listed?SPF measures how well a sunscreen will protect your skin from UVB rays (the kind of radiation that causes sunburn) while PA+++ rating is a Japanese rating for measuring UVA rays (the kind of radiation that causes skin aging). We’ve sent our sunscreen for testing on humans according to US and EU standards. In Asia, we can claim SPF47 PA+++ but in US and EU, the UVA rays protection needs to be 1/3 that of the SPF ratings, hence we can only claim Broad Spectrum SPF30.
