Questions about Hydrating Serum

Will it leave me with a heavy and sticky feel?
Hydrating Serum is Oil-free and Lightweight. Plus it is easily absorbed by the skin.

Is it suitable for oily skin?
Hydrating Serum is helpful for acne/oily skin to normalize sebum/oil production without clogging your pores. It is suitable for all skin types.

How to Use the Hydrating Serum?
Apply 1 to 2 drops of serum day and night to cleansed face in a gentle, circular motion with clean fingertips. Apply to whole face and neck.

Do I still need to use Hydrating Serum if I already use Barrier Booster Moisturiser?
Yes. We highly recommend that you use hydrating serum as hydrating serum adds water and holds water in your skin. 64% of skin is water, so hydration is absolutely necessary. Barrier Booster Moisturiser and Balancing Facial Oil serves to add oil and lock in the hydration.

What is Sodium Hyaluronate?
Sodium Hyaluronate, a smaller molecular size than hyaluronic acid (making it especially penetrative), is found naturally in the body and is a critical component of skin that helps retain moisture, keeps the skin firm, aids in tissue repair, and helps create a protective barrier against microbes.

In the presence of Sodium Hyaluronate, collagen and retinoic acid production is also increased. SH holds moisture very well; holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Not only does SH delivers water to the skin, SH also has the ability to hold it there.

As we age, natural production of Sodium Hyaluronate diminishes and our skin is no longer as supple and youthful-looking. Replacing SH is an effective way to make the skin look younger, making it a popular injectable wrinkle filler with dermatologists.

What are Amino Acid?
Amino Acids are naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of the “natural moisturizing factors” (NMF) that maintain a healthy epidermis. Amino Acids helps to maintain skin’s hydration, resilience, texture, and an overall healthy, supple appearance. When we have skin problems, like acne, eczema, psoriasis, our NMF are of lower levels. As we age, natural production of NMF also diminishes. By adding in NMF and hydration, your skin stays hydrated and skin barrier function is strengthened.
